Hello and welcome to the home of my fine art pet portraits.

My name is Meriel Burden. I’m a passionate animal lover, and qualified veterinary nurse, with an honours degree in Fine Art (painting). My days are filled painting dogs, cats, horses and other creatures from my home studio in Kirk Michael in the Isle of Man. I share my space with Keeshond Ralf and Pharaoh Hound Orla, who do a good job making sure I spend some time with them on the beach or up in the hills daily!

I have been painting pets professionally for 20 years. So you can be assured that I will create for you a portrait, together with the kind of service, that both you and your pet (or that of a loved one) deserve.

I will paint not only a true likeness of your furry family member, I will also make sure that his or her character shines through in every brushstroke. I want your portrait to be full of the joy that your pet brings to your life.

I love to hear stories about the pets I paint too, so don’t be shy about telling me them!
